  2. Just-Ice was a bouncer at various Punk clubs around New York City before becoming the area's first Gangsta rapper. With his third release, Just-Ice transitioned to a ragamuffin-style, infusing elements of Dancehall Reggae into his lyrics and beats.

  4. JUST ICE Vinyl Records and CDs An influential New York emcee who never really got the props he deserved, Just Ice first hit the scene with his single "Cold Gettin' Dumb." He was among the first artists to embrace the Hardcore Rap sound, while also venturing into Reggae-influenced styles.

  6. "Put That Record Back On" is the best Just-Ice record imo. Latoya contains some amusing lyrics, which are its saving grace as I'm generally not a fan of this style of hip hop. Clearly inspired by Slick Rick's "La-Di-Da-Di" but without the pertinent camp delivery.

  8. One of my favorites of the early rap 12" of the early 80's. Fierce, creative raps over RE-PLAYED (not sampled) elements of Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love". (Please people! Learn the difference between playing something, & the other technique known as digital SAMPLING.
